Nøvel Organic Cotton T-shirt

The Nøvel Organic Cotton T-shirt is the piece the rest of the wardrobe is built around. A midweight 180 g/m² single jersey, knitted from 100% organic ring-spun cotton, cut regular through the body so it skims rather than clings. It is the shirt you reach for without thinking, and the one that still looks right after a hundred washes.

We chose a heavier organic cotton jersey than most basics use. Lightweight tees drape poorly and go transparent after a season; at 5.3 oz/yd² this one holds its shape at the shoulder, hangs cleanly from the chest and keeps its colour depth wash after wash. The 1×1 ribbed collar is bound with self-fabric neck tape so it will not stretch out or curl, and the sleeves and hems are finished with wide double-needle topstitching.

Certified, not just claimed

The fabric is GOTS and OCS certified organic, tested to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 for harmful substances, and PETA-Approved Vegan. The blank is woven, dyed and sewn in Bangladesh, then printed to order in Europe and shipped worldwide — nothing is made until you order it, so there is no deadstock at the end of a season.

Fit and care

The cut is a true regular unisex fit. If you prefer a relaxed, slightly oversized look, size up one. Machine wash cold inside out, tumble dry low, and do not iron directly over the print.
