Nøvel Wide-Leg Pants

The Nøvel Wide-Leg Pants are the loosest thing we make, and the most considered. A heavyweight cotton–elastane twill cut wide and straight from the hip, printed edge to edge so the design runs uninterrupted across every panel. They move like loungewear and read like something you chose on purpose.

Most wide-leg trousers fail in one of two directions — too light and they collapse into pyjamas, too rigid and they fight you at the knee. We went heavy: 300 g/m², with 5% elastane worked into the weave so the fabric holds a clean vertical line from waist to hem while still giving as you sit, walk and crouch. The print is applied directly to the fabric rather than laid on top of it, which keeps a soft matte finish and lets the cotton texture read through instead of sealing it under a film.

Made to order in Europe

Fabric components are sourced from Mexico, then each pair is printed, cut and sewn to order in Europe and shipped worldwide. Nothing is cut until you order it, so there is no deadstock at the end of a season.

What to expect from the print

Direct-to-fabric printing on cotton gives a softer, more muted result than a slick sublimation finish — closer to a pigment-dyed garment than a graphic tee. Across stretch points such as seams and the seat, fine lines of the base fabric may show through when the leg is pulled taut. This is normal for a printed cotton garment with give in it, and it settles with wear.

Fit and care

The cut is a true unisex wide leg. Between sizes, size down for a cleaner line or stay on for maximum volume. Machine wash cold inside out, tumble dry low, and do not iron directly over the print.
